Hey there! I'm Emily Frith, a twenty two year old songwriter, designer and model. Sorry in advance if this is a long story, I wanted to tell you all of the details I haven't really said before in interviews and podcasts, so that you can find out something new - so here is the story of my music career so far.
Music for me began when I was about 4 years old. My teacher at school used to play us her guitar and I used to come back home and beg my Mum and Dad for a guitar so that I could play too. Turns out my fingers were too small and chubby to actually play any instruments, and the guitar I managed to persuade my parents to get me, ended up living in the corner of my bedroom until I was 11 years old.
When I was 11, I fell in love with country music. I think it began with Taylor Swift, after putting the 'You Belong With Me' music video on repeat on YouTube and dancing around to it in my room for hours. This then lead to me buying album after album of various country artists' music. After listening to countless records, I discovered that in country music, almost every single song tells its own story. I was so inspired by this, that I reached for my guitar and began writing - I haven't stopped since.
I turned 22 in April. I guess I've experienced a lot of the emotional ups and downs that life, love and growing up throws at you whilst you float through your teenage years and wander into adulthood, so writing for me has been a way of letting go of those bad things, expressing what I want to say and helping other people who are going through those similar moments.
I have now performed in countless festivals and venues and have released some of my favourite songs on music streaming platforms like Spotify and iTunes. I love what I do, and cannot thank my followers enough for the support and love they give me every single day.
New music is on its way, so stay tuned on my socials so you don't miss a thing.
